Day by Day Itinerary
DAY 1 – Alghero | Arrival in the Catalan Soul of Sardinia
Your journey begins in Alghero, a city unlike anywhere else in Sardinia — a coastal enclave where Catalan heritage, sea light, and Mediterranean rhythm blend into a distinctive identity.
Once settled in an elegant seaside residence overlooking the bay, the rest of the day unfolds gently. Alghero is not a city to rush; it reveals itself through its bastions, its golden stone walls, and the slow rhythm of its old town, where Catalan traces still shape language, architecture, and atmosphere.
A walk along the waterfront or through the historic centre offers a first immersion into this dual identity — Sardinian and Catalan, ancient and maritime.
Overnight in Alghero.
DAY 2 – Alghero | Sea Caves, Hidden Coves & Marine Life
Today is dedicated to the coastline, where Alghero reveals its most dramatic dimension.
A private boat experience takes you along the Capo Caccia cliffs, one of the most iconic landscapes in Sardinia, where limestone walls plunge into deep blue waters. Here lies the Grotta di Nettuno, a spectacular sea cave carved by nature, filled with stalactites, reflections, and subterranean silence.
The navigation continues through hidden coves and protected waters, where swimming stops feel like entering untouched Mediterranean nature.
A marine biologist accompanies part of the experience, offering insight into the fragile ecosystem of these waters, rich in biodiversity and clarity.
A relaxed picnic on a secluded beach completes the day — simple, natural, and entirely shaped by the sea.
Overnight in Alghero.
DAY 3 – Sardinian Flavours | From Tradition to Sea Elegance
The day begins inland in Bonorva, where Sardinia reveals its most authentic culinary soul. In a family-run farmhouse, you take part in a hands-on experience dedicated to seadas, the island’s iconic dessert — simple in ingredients, profound in tradition.
This is a cuisine rooted in memory, where gestures are passed down rather than written.
The journey continues among vineyards, where Sardinian winemaking expresses a different side of the island: sun-drenched, structured, and deeply territorial. A guided tasting introduces you to local varieties, paired with regional products that reflect the landscape.
As evening falls, the experience shifts back toward the coast with a sailing dinner at sea — a moment suspended between wind, horizon, and silence, where the island is perceived from its most elemental perspective.
Overnight in Alghero.
DAY 4 – The Sardinian Way of Life | Longevity & Community
Today offers a deeper, more intimate encounter with Sardinia’s cultural identity — often defined by its remarkable traditions of longevity.
Spending time with a local family, you enter a rhythm shaped by simplicity, connection, and seasonal living. Coffee rituals, home-cooked dishes, and shared preparation become a window into a lifestyle where time moves differently.
A cooking experience highlights local ingredients and ancestral recipes, followed by a convivial lunch that feels more like participation than hospitality.
In the afternoon, a walk through the surrounding countryside or village brings context to this way of life — where community, land, and tradition remain tightly interwoven.
Overnight in Alghero.
DAY 5 – From Alghero to Gallura | Castles, Cliffs & Northern Light
Leaving Alghero, the landscape begins to shift — from soft coastlines to more rugged terrain, shaped by wind, granite, and open horizons.
A stop in Castelsardo introduces one of Sardinia’s most picturesque medieval towns, perched dramatically above the sea. Its castle, narrow alleys, and artisan basket traditions reflect centuries of maritime and defensive history.
A private picnic in a panoramic estate along the route offers a pause immersed in landscape and silence.
By afternoon, arrival in Santa Teresa di Gallura — a land of wind-carved rock formations and luminous sea tones. The atmosphere here is more raw, more northern, almost elemental.
The day concludes with an intimate performance of traditional polyphonic singing — a vocal tradition rooted in sacred ritual and community expression, creating a powerful emotional resonance in its simplicity.
Overnight in Santa Teresa Gallura.
DAY 6 – Gallura | Nuragic Civilisation & Living Traditions
Today explores the deep time of Sardinia.
Among granite landscapes and scattered villages, you encounter the legacy of the Nuragic civilisation — megalithic towers built over 3,000 years ago, still defining the island’s archaeological identity and mystery.
This is a landscape where history is not contained in museums but embedded in stone.
Later, visit a traditional cork workshop, a material deeply tied to Gallura’s economy and identity. Here, craftsmanship is not performance but continuity.
Overnight in Santa Teresa Gallura.
DAY 7 – Capo Figari | Marconi, Sea Paths & Fishing Culture
A scenic hike leads to Capo Figari, one of the most striking coastal viewpoints in northern Sardinia. The trail moves through pine forests and cliffs, opening onto panoramic views over the Maddalena archipelago and Tavolara.
At the summit, the ruins of Guglielmo Marconi’s experimental station recall a surprising chapter of scientific history, where early radio transmissions were tested across the sea.
Descending toward the coast, the experience continues in a traditional fishing village — still active, still deeply tied to the rhythms of the sea.
A seafood-based lunch completes the day, grounded in freshness, simplicity, and place.
Overnight in Santa Teresa Gallura.
DAY 8 – Towards Costa Smeralda | Aromas, Craft & Inner Sardinia
The journey south begins with a shift inland, revealing a different Sardinia — quieter, more introspective.
In Laconi, the landscape becomes aromatic and almost meditative. Local herbs, essences, and traditional preparations introduce the sensory dimension of the island, where plants and knowledge intersect.
A hands-on workshop with a local producer highlights artisanal methods and regional flavours, including chocolate and traditional liqueurs.
By late afternoon, arrival in Costa Smeralda — a landscape of sculpted granite, emerald water, and refined coastal elegance.
Overnight in Costa Smeralda.
DAY 9 – Maddalena Archipelago | Pure Sea Landscapes
A private boat experience through the Maddalena Archipelago reveals one of the Mediterranean’s most extraordinary marine environments.
Islands emerge like fragments of granite and light, surrounded by water of exceptional clarity. Stops for swimming and snorkeling allow full immersion in this protected natural park.
Lunch on board is based on local products, simple and aligned with the purity of the setting.
The experience is defined not by activity, but by space, silence, and visual intensity.
Overnight in Costa Smeralda.
DAY 10 – Tavolara | Between Island & Myth
The final sea experience unfolds in the Tavolara Marine Area, a place where geology and mythology seem to merge.
Granite cliffs rise dramatically from the sea, creating one of Sardinia’s most iconic silhouettes. Hidden beaches and protected waters offer moments of pure stillness and immersion.
Time is dedicated to swimming, snorkeling, and slow navigation through one of the island’s most untouched coastal zones.
A final lunch by the sea closes the day with simplicity and clarity — a quiet farewell to Sardinia’s marine world.
Overnight in Costa Smeralda.
