The remainder of the day is free to start absorbing the atmosphere of this fascinating city, where Arab, Norman, Spanish and Italian influences have shaped its unique identity. You might take a leisurely walk through the historic center, admiring elegant palaces, lively piazzas, and baroque churches.
Stroll through Quattro Canti, the symbolic crossroads of the city, or explore the colorful stalls of Ballarò Market, where local flavors and aromas capture the spirit of Sicilian daily life. As evening arrives, Palermo reveals its warm and authentic charm, the perfect introduction to the island.
Day 2 – Palermo Royal Palace & Cappella Palatina
Today you will discover one of the most remarkable monuments in Sicily with included tickets to the Palazzo Reale of Palermo, among the oldest royal residences in Europe.
Walking through its historic halls and courtyards, you will trace centuries of history shaped by Norman kings, Arab artisans, and Byzantine artists. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the breathtaking Cappella Palatina, where shimmering golden mosaics illuminate scenes from the Old and New Testaments.
After your visit, the rest of the day is yours to continue exploring Palermo at your own pace. You may wander through the elegant streets around Teatro Massimo, visit the majestic Palermo Cathedral, or simply relax at a café while watching the rhythm of Sicilian life unfold.
Day 3 – Day Excursion to Cefalù
Today a private daily transfer will take you along the northern Sicilian coast to the charming seaside town of Cefalù, one of the island’s most picturesque destinations.
Nestled between the sea and a dramatic rocky promontory, Cefalù welcomes visitors with golden sandy beaches, medieval streets and spectacular coastal views. Spend the day relaxing by the water, enjoying the crystal-clear Mediterranean in a setting that feels both lively and timeless.
If you wish to explore further, wander through the old town to admire the impressive Norman Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece decorated with stunning Byzantine mosaics. Small cafés and local trattorias offer perfect spots to enjoy fresh seafood or a refreshing granita before returning to Palermo in the afternoon.
Day 4 – Monreale
Today your private transfer will take you to the hilltop town of Monreale, overlooking Palermo and the surrounding Conca d’Oro valley.
This peaceful town is home to one of Sicily’s most extraordinary monuments: the Monreale Cathedral, renowned for its immense cycle of glittering Byzantine mosaics that cover more than 6,000 square meters of walls and ceilings. Scenes from the Bible unfold in luminous gold, creating an atmosphere that is both majestic and deeply spiritual.
Take time to explore the magnificent cloister of the Benedictine monastery, where elegant columns and intricate carvings reveal the artistic richness of Norman Sicily. The remainder of the day is free, perhaps for a final stroll through Palermo or a relaxed dinner in the city.
Day 5 – Palermo to Taormina
Today you leave Palermo behind and begin your journey across the island toward the elegant town of Taormina, with a private transfer included for a comfortable and scenic journey.
As the landscape changes, you will notice Sicily’s remarkable diversity: rolling countryside, rugged mountains, and glimpses of the sparkling Mediterranean coastline. The journey offers beautiful views that reveal the island’s dramatic natural beauty.
Upon arrival in Taormina, you will discover one of Sicily’s most enchanting destinations. Perched above the sea with panoramic views of Mount Etna, the town is known for its charming streets, refined atmosphere, and spectacular scenery. Spend the afternoon wandering along Corso Umberto, browsing boutiques, cafés, and terraces overlooking the coast.

Today you will explore the slopes of Europe’s most active volcano with an Etna Wineries Tour included, a memorable experience dedicated to the flavors and landscapes of this extraordinary region.
Accompanied by a specialized guide, you will visit a traditional Etna village and learn about the unique culture shaped by the volcano. The fertile volcanic soil creates ideal conditions for vineyards that produce some of Sicily’s most distinctive wines.
The tour includes visits to two carefully selected wineries, where you will stroll through vineyards, discover historic cellars, and enjoy a guided tasting of Etna wines paired with a delicious lunch. Surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery, this experience offers a perfect blend of nature, gastronomy, and local tradition.

During the navigation, you will explore sea caves shimmering with turquoise reflections and sail around the island of Ortigia, passing beneath historic fortifications, elegant palaces, and rocky cliffs shaped by centuries of waves.
After the boat tour, the day continues with time to explore Ortigia at your own pace. Wander through its atmospheric streets to discover Piazza del Duomo, considered one of the most beautiful squares in Sicily, and admire the cathedral built upon the remains of an ancient Greek temple.
Day 11 – Valley of the Temples, Agrigento

Surrounded by olive trees, almond groves, and sweeping views of the Sicilian countryside, the site offers a powerful immersion into the grandeur of the ancient Greek world.
After your visit, a private transfer will accompany you to the charming coastal town of Sciacca. Known for its historic center, colorful fishing harbor, and traditional ceramic craftsmanship, Sciacca offers a more authentic and relaxed Sicilian atmosphere.
